Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program
A Journey of Healing... Our Adult Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program is located just east of downtown Salt Lake City (in close proximity to Trax) and provides full-service intensive outpatient treatment to adult men and women ages 18 and up. Our comprehensive program is dual-diagnosis enhanced to ensure that we treat the entire person - not just the problem of addiction. Through our holistic approach to drug rehab, our clients are able to graduate as healthy, contributing, self-sufficient, responsible citizens of the community at large.
The best part is that we offer aftercare to our clients for free for life. We truly want to give every client a chance to succeed and we do not give up on hope - ever.
Integrity, Responsibility, Accountability... A Recipe for Health Our treatment approach is unique in that we employ a modified Therapeutic Community model that has been customized to the most important needs of our clients and is based on the most up-to-date best practices in the field. The Therapeutic Community harnesses the best of both worlds: professional, clinical expertise and the ability of clients to relate to each other and support those who are going through the same journey they are. Many of our staff have graduated from Odyssey House themselves and can truly support the clients as they know exactly what their needs are and have succeeded themselves. Clients hold each other to healthy standards and hold each other accountable as friends should. They teach and encourage each other to live responsibly, with integrity, and accountable for their own actions.
Treatment Services in Evenings... Our Adult Outpatient drug treatment program has developed a plethora of individualized groups and services that enhance the Therapeutic Community. Clients are able and encouraged to maintain steady day jobs in order to reinforce positive, healthy life components. Clients are given the support of several group therapy sessions and activities that help them learn how to live the rest of their lives sober. Clients not only engage in therapy; they learn how to have fun without drugs and alcohol and how to be employed successfully. We make sure that our clients are able to bring difficult issues they experience throughout their days to therapy in the evening so that problems may be addressed and overcome.
Below are some of the services that we offer and all of them are included in the program:
- Case Management
- Individual Therapy
- Motivational Groups
- Crisis Intervention
- Gender Groups
- Family Therapy
- Couples Counseling
- Child Reunification Assistance
- Life Skills Training
- Sexual Trauma Recovery Services
- Lifelong Aftercare Services
Length of the Program... We like to say that a client's individual treatment length at Odyssey House will not be one week longer or one week shorter than it needs to be. Each client's outpatient services will differ as programs are individualized for each client's needs. We utilize ASAM Placement Criteria, an industry renowned best-practice, to match the correct level of care for each client and we review each client's progress continuously. Because we have a complete continuum of care in our outpatient services ranging from intensive outpatient treatment to individual counseling, we can move a client along seamlessly in their levels of care.
We also offer SPECIALIZED SERVICES that are as short as 4-hours up to 12-weeks. If you are unsure as to what program might be best for you or your loved one, please contact our ADMISSIONS department where a professional can schedule a complete assessment to help you determine what might be best.
Hope Renewed... Our clients graduate whole, healthy people with the world's opportunities at their fingertips. After all, a life free of addiction has limitless potential. Our alumni group provides support for clients for the rest of their lives for free and we are impressed and touched by the generous gestures of many of our graduates. Whether it be a graduate donating to Odyssey House or stopping by to talk to the clients, it is a common occurrence to see hope renewed in our clients by seeing them "give back." Sobriety is about teaching and helping others achieve it, and our alumni definitely does more than their share of touching lives.
