I want to take a moment to recognize Jen Smith, our dedicated Psychiatric Medical Assistant, for the incredible job she has done managing our psychiatric schedule during a transitional period. 1. I have worked for federal, state and private agencies for over 40 years. I have never in my entire career, had a supervisor apologize or accept accountability like Kristina does. Things were in a huge turmoil when I was hired, Cerner was just about ending its devastation on all things Odyssey. My training may have not been "up to par" as to what she would have wanted for a newly hired therapist, and she has made herself available (probably more than she should) to any and all questions I have had. - She leads by example. She is transparent, brave, and shows her staff what is looks like to be vulnerable. She puts herself "in the ring" with us. While she is our leader, she does not lead with ultimatums or exceptions. She is willing to do the hard stuff right along with us. I am grateful to be an Odyssey employee, and extremely grateful to be under the direction of Kristina Muck!!!!
2. This lady is a powerful and passionate person in out community, and deserves recognition. She never asks for any kudos or extra attention for doing all that she does, but it shows that her care for her team and the clients is a priority for her. I respect her a ton!
Tina is the nurse over parents. I think she deserves to be recognized because she is a BOSS. She has a thousand things to do and still manages to thoroughly and quickly complete all of her work for both houses (and sometimes more houses as we train new nurses or have nurses out of office) AND manage the medical coordinators and all the client medical situations we present to her. She is an inspirational queen of multi-tasking. She is an awesome supervisor, very attentive, and enjoyable to be around. These houses would not be functioning without her hard work behind the scenes!
KayLyn started last August and hit the ground running, she is an administrative assistant though coming immediately was asked to help with CERNER, sort out billing there, she learned UWITS and was given 2 GRANTS to run at the same time and learn all the details and documents supported to help individuals with housing internal and external. She has worked with many of our team members in different capacities and she is always willing to help where she can and does it with a smile on her face. She maintains all records and assists the Program director with Trans services daily with all related tasks. Kaylyn is amazing and does so much for many clients every day. Thank you KayLyn!
Nikki is always striving to honor Odyssey’s philosophy. She shares knowledge of the philosophy both to clients and her coworkers with enthusiasm. Nikki is always one of the first to volunteer to help and she is awesome with the kids. As a graduate she is truly an example for the kids to look up to and she is always looking for ways to build rapport with the clients. As a coworker you can always count on her to show up and give 100% and support in anyway she can.
